In his message, Betkolia offered his congratulations to the Supreme Leader and Muslim compatriots on the advent of Eid-al-Adha and the Eid-al- Ghadir (the divine assignment of Imam Ali as the first Imam of Shiias).

The Secretary General of the World Assyrian Union Yonathan Betkolia wrote, 'Undoubtedly advent of the two eids (feasts) means co-existence of all different ethnic groups and religions in Iran and as Prophet Jesus Christ said 'We all should have a share in the happiness and mourning in our neighbors'. So the Iranian Assyrian community shares happiness with all Iranians over such auspicious occasions.'
