President Rouhani made the remark in a telephone conversation with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday.
Thanking the Indian premier for felicitating Eid al-Fitr, President Rouhani said this Eid belongs to all countries in the region, including millions of Muslims in India.
Describing the recent visit of Indian premier to Tehran as 'very successful,' President Rouhani said implementation of jointly implemented projects such as Chabahar port will be of prime importance.
Expansion of relations and cooperation in the fields of banking and commerce and in connection with the sophisticated technology and know-how should be on agenda in order to broaden ties between the two sides, Rouhani said.
Chabahar port connects regional countries such as India, Afghanistan and central Asia and is regarded as manifestation of Tehran-New Delhi cooperation, President Rouhani said.
Indian premier made a telephone conversation on Wednesday to congratulate President Rouhani, the Iranian government and nation over Eid al-Fitr at the end of the holy month of Ramadan.
New Delhi is determined to broaden all-out cooperation with Tehran, said the Indian premier.
India will do its utmost to promptly implement accords signed between the two sides for development of Chabahar port, the Indian premier said.
During the telephone conversation, the Indian prime minister once again invited President Rouhani to pay an official visit to India.
