Wednesday announced as Eid-al-Fitr

The announcement read, “Based on reports obtained from the new moon sighting groups, the advent of the lunar month of Shaval is proved to the Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei and July 6 will be the auspicious feast of Fitr or the end of the blessed month of Ramadhan.”

Eid al-Fitr starts when the new moon is spotted in the sky.

Based on the announcement, the Eid-ul-Fitr congregational prayers will be led by Ayatollah Khamenei at Tehran's grand mosque (Mossalla) at 08:00 a.m. on Wednesday.
