5 Saudi military personnel killed in western Yemen

The Saudi servicemen were killed in the western coast of Yemen near AL-Hudaydah port, Almasirah said without explaining the details of their death, the Islamic Republic News Agency reported.

Meanwhile, the Yemeni armed forces and popular committees announced in a statement that they had taken captive 150 mercenaries including several field commanders in their operations in Ad Darimi town, south of Al-Hudaydah port.

Based on statistics released by Yemeni sources, 247 Saudi troops have been killed by Yemeni snipers and popular committees since the start of the aggression by Saudi Arabia and some of its Arab allies on Yemen in 2015.

In the same period, Saudi forces have lost 1,200 tanks and armored vehicles, 12 Apache combat helicopters, five F-16 jet fighters, 20 spy drones and 10 warships.

Since March 2015, Saudi Arabia and some of its Arab allies have been carrying out deadly, indiscriminate airstrikes on civilians in an attempt to restore power to fugitive president, Abd-Rabbuh Mansur Hadi, a close ally of Riyadh.

Thousands of Yemenis, including women and children, have been killed and 22,000 others wounded in the deadly Saudi aggression.
