
Gholam Ali Rajabi Yazdi made the remarks Friday in a meeting with members of Iran table tennis team who are currently in Hungary. Head of Hungarian table tennis federation Roland Nátrán was also present in the meeting.
The ambassador expressed readiness of Iran's embassy to prepare the grounds for developing Tehran-Budapest sports ties as well as facilitating Hungarian sports delegations visit to Iran and holding regular bilateral meetings with their Iranian counterparts.
Rajabi Yazdi also called for holding preparatory matches, table tennis competitions with the attendance of Iran and signing a MoU between federations of Iran and Hungary for future cooperation.
Roland Nátrán, for his part, expressed readiness for developing relations and for travelling to Iran.
Referring to the 2019 ITTF World Championships which are slated to be held in different levels in Budapest, Natran said there is a bright prospect for the Iranian team in next year’s matches.
He also stressed that the Iranian and Hungarian table tennis federations enjoy a growing cooperation.
