Addressing Iran-Russia press conference attended by Alexey Volin, Vice Minister of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media of the Russian Federation, Dzhagaryan said the number of Iranian tourists visiting Russia has increased due to the two countries' visa waiver deal.

He said over 63,000 to 65,000 Iranian tourists visited Russia last year.

Due to insufficient marketing, advertising and introducing the touristic attractions of Iran, the number of Russian tourists visiting Iran is meager.

Commenting on the number of Iranians visiting Russia during the 2018 FIFA World Cup, the diplomat said he is not aware of the exact number of the visiting Iranians yet.
