President Rouhani in a message congratulated the victory of Iranian junior athletes in the Greco-Roman and freestyle competitions of 2018 World Cadet Wrestling Championships in Zagreb, Croatia.
In the tournament of Greco-Roman style, held July 6-8, Iranian athletes, Amir-Hossein Khansar and Mohammad Nosrati, snatched two gold medals. Four other members of the Iranian national team won two gold and two bronze medals.
The Iranian team, gaining 130 scores, ranked first, followed by Russia and Turkey.
Also, Rahman Amoozadeh-Khalili, Alireza Abdollahi and Amir Zare' the Iranian freestyle wrestlers in the championships (July 2-4) bagged three gold medals.
The Iranian junior wrestlers with four other medals, one silver and three bronzes, and the total score of 152, raised Iran's flag as the champion of the games.
