Yemeni missiles hit royal centers in Riyadh

Almasira said the missiles fired were of Burkan type but did not mention the names of royal centers targeted by the Yemeni army.

Saudi media confirmed that one missile had been fired at Riyadh but claimed it had been intercepted and destroyed by the air defense units.

The fresh missile attack came 10 days after Yemen's army and popular committees fired a ballistic missile at Al-Faisal military center in Jizan, southwest of Saudi Arabia.

General Turki AL-Malki , spokesman for the Saudi-led coalition forces confessed on Monday that so far 149 missiles had been fired from Yemen at Saudi Arabia.

Military analysts believe that with an escalation in fighting in Yemen, the simultaneous firing of 50 Yemeni missiles at Saudi Arabian oil company Aramco in Jizan, the world's biggest oil refinery which supplies 70 percent of Europe's oil imports will be destroyed and the United States will face an oil crisis.

In March 2015, Saudi Arabia and some of its Arab allies including the United Arab Emirates launched an aggression on Yemen in a bid to return to power deposed Yemeni president Abdrabbuh Mansour Hadi.

The war imposed on Yemen by Saudi Arabia and its Arab allies over the past three years has not only failed to harm the newly-born revolution of the Yemeni people but has also inflicted heavy casualties and material losses on the two main members of the coalition - Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.
