The Imam Khomeini International Airport’s flight information also announced that all flights of the Turkish airline to Istanbul’s Ataturk airport have been cancelled.

Meantime, the flights of Atlas Jet, Qeshm Air and Asseman Airline to Istanbul have been cancelled.

Istanbul Governor Wasif Shahin announced on Tuesday night that the number of the people killed in the blasts of the city’s Ataturk International Airport has risen to 28.

Shahin put the number of the injured at 28, and said six of them are in critical conditions.

He noted that three suicide attacks had taken place in three different spots of the airport.

Istanbul’s Ataturk airport is now closed and no one can enter or leave the airport for the time being.

Local media also reported that there was gunfire in the airport.

The Turkish Interior Ministry confirmed that there have been multiple injuries.

Entrance to and flights out of the Ataturk Airport in Istanbul, Turkey, were suspended Tuesday amid reports of explosion there just after 10 p.m. local time.

The explosion came just three months after deadly coordinated bombs were detonated at an international airport in Brussels, Belgium.
