Larijani expressed hope for reinforcing ties between Iran and Lebanon governments and parliaments.
He also emphasized the fact that Lebanon is an important country which plays major role in maintaining peace and security in the region.
Berri with 98 votes out of 128 ones was reinstated as Lebanon speaker.
He was the only candidate who has been supported by most political parties.
Since 1992, Berri has served six terms as Lebanon’s parliament speaker.
Based on Lebanon's law, parliament speaker should be adopted from Shia people.
