Iran nullifies license for Telegram servers deployment

The Telegram company is now obliged to withdraw its servers from circuit.

The legal license issued by National Cyberspace Center regarding the deployment of the Telegram distribution network servers to Iran has been canceled, Telecommunication Infrastructure Company reported.

Telecommunication Infrastructure Company is the sole provider of telecommunication infrastructure to all private and public operators in the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Telegram is a cloud-based instant messaging service developed by Telegram Messenger LLP, a privately held company registered in London, United Kingdom, founded by the Russian entrepreneur Pavel Durov.
