Iran, Turkey to exchange tourists

He made the remarks in the official opening ceremony for the International Tabriz 2018 in Tabriz on Wednesday.

Since current relations between Iran and Turkey is very good, we never advise tourists to change their destinations, but we instead encourage them, he said.

It is expected to take practical steps to increase number of incoming tourists from Turkey to Iran in the coming years, he said.

To encourage foreign investors to do invest in the Iranian market place we are to offer them discount in taxation as well as providing them with credit lines, he said.

Iran is to host Turkish investors in tourism industry after the holy month of Ramadhan, he said.

Turkish Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism Omer Arisoy said Ankara is now mulling investment in Iran's tourism sector.

We should encourage Turkish investors of privileges as well as incentives offered by Iran in tourism sector as Turkish government has ceded all tourism affairs to the private sector, he said.

Tabriz cosmopolitan city with about 1.8 million residents has been designated as Tourism capital of the world Muslim, he said.
