Blast, gunfire heard near Saudi Arabian royal Palace

Saudi Arabia’s King Salman was not present in his palace in Riyadh on Saturday when security forces shot down a toy drone in the area, Reuters quoted a senior Saudi official as saying.

According to Reuters, a spokesman for the Riyadh police said earlier that forces at a checkpoint in the Khozama district had identified the drone and “dealt with it according to their orders”, without specifying if there were any injuries or damage.

A coup is going to happen against Saudi King and the palace has been evacuated, according to some sources.

Meanwhile, Russia's Sputnik reported that the Saudi police shot down a toy drone which had been flying over the Al Khuzama neighborhood in the country's capital of Riyadh, where the royal palace is located.

No official sources have yet shown reaction to the accident.
