
The US together with its allies, the UK and France targeted the Syrian capital city of Damascus early Saturday.
The US attack on a military base in Homs, western Syria injured 3 civilians, Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) earlier reported.
The media affiliated with the terrorists had claimed that the Syrian jet fighters conducted a chemical attack on Douma last Saturday killing 75 people and injuring scores of others.
This is while Syria had earlier warned against terrorists’ attempts to orchestrate chemical attack scenario in Eastern Ghouta.
“Indonesia is deeply concerned on the developments in Syria,” the statement reads.
Indonesian Foreign Ministry called on all parties to show restrain and prevent an escalation of the deteriorating situation in Syria.
Indonesia also underlined the need for all parties to respect international laws, and norms, in particular the UN Charter on international peace and security.
Indonesia urged all parties to ensure the security and safety of civilians, in particular women and children which must always be a priority.
Indonesian Foreign Ministry reiterated the importance of a comprehensive resolution of the conflict in Syria through negotiations and peaceful means.
