Iran, Iraq sign MoU on medical cooperation

The MoU was included launching production lines of medical equipment in Iraq with transfer of technology, facilitating process and growth of purchasing Iranian made medical equipment by Iraq Health Ministry, offering technical-engineering services to maintenance of medical equipment, offering training courses for regulatory and laboratory qualification control services and registration of Iranian products for exporting to Iraq.

Deputy Director General for public health in Iraq Health Ministry Muhammad Jaber in a meeting with Director General of Medical Equipment Department in Iran Health Ministry Reza Masaeli said that Iran can use existing capacities in this field in Iraq and Baghdad is ready to use potentials and experiences of Iran in this concern.

Masaeli expressed Iran's readiness to offer educational, technical and engineering services in the field of quality control and maintenance of medical equipment for Iraq and added that Iran is ready to open school in Iraq.

He said that by a joint venture project of Iran's private sector there would be possibility to launch a production line for medical equipment with international standards in Iraq by brand name of Iraq.
