Political, ideological impatience, source of int’l conflicts

These conflicts will result in hatred, terrorism and economic and social regression, Mohammad Hassani said Friday addressing a NAM ministerial meeting in Baku.

Security and sustainable development are interconnected circles that will emerge in an international context based on respect for the cultural rights and sovereignty of countries, he said.

He also pointed to the meaningful relations between sustainable development and national as well as international security.

Hassani also underlined the importance of protecting the realm of national cultures against efforts made by some countries to promote a climate of international cultural unilateralism.

The Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) Mid-Term Ministerial Conference, titled “Promoting international peace and security for sustainable development” kicked off in Baku on April 5 with the participation of Iranian Minister of Foreign Affairs Mohammad Javad Zarif.

More than 800 delegates from 120 member countries, 17 non-member countries and 110 international bodies took part in the two-day conference.
