Iraq Prov declares 3 days of mourning in protest at Afrin occupation

Haval Abubakr said Nowrus (New Iranian Year) celebrations have been cancelled and three days of mourning have been declared across the province as of Monday.

The Turkish army and militants of the so-called Free Army of Syria entered the city from its southeaster part this morning on the 58 days of the Turkish military operation 'The Olive Branch'.

The Damascus government has called Turkey's military operation in Afrin and other northern areas of Syria as an 'act of occupation', demanding an immediate pullout of Turkish army units from Syrian soil.
