Prominent lawyer reveals truths behind MEK

“The MEK is a terrorist organization - funded and armed by Saddam Hussein - that was until recently designated as such under US law. But it's not a 'regular' terrorist organization. It is one that also has war crimes, crimes against humanity and ethnic cleansing on its record,” Reza Nasri said in Twitter message released on Thursday.

“In fact, the MEK literally acted as Saddam Hussein's Republican Guard’s auxiliary for years and took part in its bloody crackdown campaigns against Iraqi Shia and Kurds. In other words, the MEK is an exceptional terrorist org. with crimes against humanity in its résumé!,” he added.

Elaborating on the wide-range terrorists acts perpetrated by MEK, Nasri said “But the MEK is not just responsible for aiding and abetting the systematic killing of Iranians, Iraqis and Kurds. It is a Marxist organization that has also on its record the assassination of American civilians and military personnel, including L. Colonel Lewis Lee Hawkins.”

Elsewhere in his remarks the Iranian lawyer referred to US aids to the mentioned terrorist grouplet saying “[Former US
Ambassador to the UN] John Bolton has been a leading lobbyist for the MEK for many years. He tried very hard to have this organization removed from the Department of State's Foreign Terrorist Organizations list; And is today one of their most prominent advocates within the US political establishment.”

“Considering this record, the US public opinion and media should ask why US President Donald Trump would pick John Bolton for a position as sensitive as National Security Advisor?,” he added.

He continued by raising a question whether a lobbyist for a cultish pro-Saddam terrorist organization with American blood on its hands would be well suited to occupy this post? This is a question Donald Trump should give an answer to.
