Tillerson 1st US secretary of state fired via Twitter: Envoy

Tillerson was on African tour while he was informed of his dismissal, Baeidinejad said in a Twitter message released on Tuesday.

The US will have no Secretary of State by the next two months which is critical for making decision on Iran nuclear deal, North Korea issue and the economic war with Europe, he added.

“Mike Pompeo, Director of the CIA, will become our new Secretary of State. He will do a fantastic job! Thank you to Rex Tillerson for his service! Gina Haspel will become the new Director of the CIA, and the first woman so chosen. Congratulations to all!,” US President Donald Trump said earlier in a Twitter message.
