Talking to reports late Thursday, Farhad Izadjou added that operations to develop the units started in 2010 and they include pipeline, onshore refinery and gas well drilling and offshore platform.
Referring to investment of 650 million dollars in the platforms of phases of 22 to 24, he said that the amount of investment in other sections of the phases has so far amounted to 5.2 billion dollars.
Phases 22 to 24 have a physical progress of 88 percent and it is projected that gas extracted from them will be carried to Persian Gulf coastlines (Akhtar-e Kangan), site of establishment of new refinery for producing different products, Izadjou said.
In the drilling section, some 38 wells with a total depth of 4,200 kilometers have been drilled in the sea, he said.
All stages of designing, construction, equipment and drilling have been carried out by Iranian experts, he said.
Once the phases become operational, 650 million cubic meters of rich gas will be added to the production capacity of South Pars, he said.
Possibility to produce 77,000 barrels of gas condensates, over one million tons of Ethane and one million tons of LPG are among other achievements that will be made once the phases 22 to 24 are commissioned, Izadjou said.
