Iran, India scholars discuss boosting academic ties

The meeting took place on Monday with the attendance of professors from the University of Kashmir and faculty members of Gonbad-e Kavus University of Iran.

The visit by Indian delegation is aimed at holding meeting with Iranian university professors and elites as well as religious figures in a bid to boost scientific and academic relations and also discussing Islamic World issues, Iranian official Abbas Masoudi Alavi said.

The University of Kashmir is located on the western side of Dal Lake in the city of Srinagar which lies in the India state of Jammu and Kashmir.
