Tehran-Yerevan eco ties should keep pace with political ties: PM

In a meeting with Iranian Energy Minister Reza Ardekanian in Yerevan late Tuesday, he referred to successful holding of the 15th session of Iran-Armenia Joint Commission, saying that the two countries’ political relations are good and economic ties should be promoted to a desirable level.

He further noted that Joint Cooperation Commission can prepare the ground for promotion of mutual economic collaboration.

Ardekanian, for his part, pointed to longstanding ties between the two countries, hoping that holding the 15th session of Joint Cooperation Commission would help bolster economic relations.

Various topics including two documents on customs cooperation, continuation of third line for transferring energy, facilities for promoting road transportation and boosting tourism were approved during the 15th session of the joint commission, he said.
