Gholami said that foundation of the D8 international university was one of Iran's obligations in D8 Group meetings.
Group 8 is an economic group comprising of eight developing Islamic states of Iran, Turkey, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Indonesia, Malaysia, Egypt and Nigeria and was founded on June 15, 1997 by a proposal of Najmuddin Erbakan, former Turkish prime minister and leader of Islamic Party of Rifah with the aim to strengthen economic cooperation among member states.
Gholami said Iran is consulting with other countries to attract students and there would be special program for admitting students from regional countries.
Mansour Gholami met with South African Minister of Science and Technology Naledi Pandor in Tehran on Saturday and signed memorandum of understanding with him.
