Iran's karate team wins Yerevan Champs

After defeating teams from Armenia, Georgia, Iraq, UAE, India and Kazakhstan, Iranian fighters in kata and Kumite sections stood first.

Armenia and Georgia clinched the second and third titles respectively.

Yerevan Open 8th International Karate Championship was held on November 4-5 in Mika Sport Hall, Armenia.

The World Karate Federation (WKF) had earlier named Iran's karate team as the second top team in the world.
