
Khojasteh pointed to situations in countries like Syria, Yemen, Iraq and Bahrain, which are under attack by Takfiri groups, and said that unity among Islamic Ummah could be effective in strengthening peace among Muslims.
Referring to age-old background of relations between Iran and Jordan, Khojasteh said that the Islamic world expects more from Iran and Jordan in creation of peace, tranquility and friendship.
He said that Iran considers Jordan as big Islamic state, which likes Iran, could be influential in the region.
The Iranian MP also welcomed expansion of parliamentary cooperation between the two states, especially within the framework of parliamentary friendship groups.
Muhammed al-Khaledi also expressed readiness to expand mutual cooperation between the two countries, and said that Jordan is interested to expand communications, especially in parliamentary affairs.
