Palestine issue should remain top priority: Iran official

In a meeting with visiting Hamas delegation headed by Hamas' Deputy Political Chief Saleh el-Arouri on Saturday, he noted that any measure that ignore the Palestinian rights is betrayal to the Palestinian cause.

Shamkhani referred to the US and Zionist regime propaganda against Iran's influence in the region, and said they want to make obstacles in the way of fighting terrorism.

The Hamas official, for his part, thanked Iran's support for Palestinians and underlined Hamas commitment to consolidate cooperation with Iran.

He said that the Takfiri groups' measures will only serve the interests of Zionist regime and the US.
