Brazil welcomes opening of Iranian banks' branch offices

Meirelles told his Iranian counterpart Masood Karbasian that Iran-Brazil economic relations have shown satisfactory results.

He underlined investment in Agriculture, especially medium-sized and heavy weight industries, and said his country welcomes talks between certain major Brazilian companies and Iranian partners, especially in energy generation.

Meirelles also voiced interest in meeting Iranian aviation fleet needs and said impediments will hopefully be removed.

The two sides agreed on holding of Iran-Brazil joint economic cooperation commission session in Iran by the next two to three months.
