
The last sequence of the film was shot at an airport in Los Angeles, featuring Denise Richards, Jay Abdo, Nina Nayebi, and Tom Berenger.
Tom Berenger appears as US President Donald Trump in the movie. Other actors appearing in the Iranian-American comedy, include Val Kilmer, Robert Knepper, Taylor Cole, Greg Grunberg, William Baldwin, Ken Davitian, and Steve Wilder.
The movie is about a newly-wed couple, Iranian-born Ben, whose father is anti-US and opposes any kind of agreement with the US, and his American wife Kate, whose father is an anti-Iran Republican senator. Kate and Ben have been married for a couple of years and has a peaceful life, until the two fathers meet.
Atshani, a few days ago and in reaction to Trump’s Friday anti-Iranian speech, wrote, “I watched Mr. Trump’s interview…I wish you could see parts of the film we made in your country, Mr. President!”
The film was produced by LA Independent Film and Entertainment studio located in Hollywood.
Pourya Naserbakht is the associate producer, while Sam Khoze and Edwin Avaness are producers of the film. Hesam Aqa-Babaee has also contributed to the project.
Atshani has already made several movies including, The President’s Cell phone, Wishbone, Banana Peel, Mr. Alef and Negar’s Role. His 2016 film 'Paradise' was a joint production between Iran and Germany.
