Iran suggests establishing joint venture with Armenia

Mohammad Shariatmadari in a meeting with Armenia's Minister of Eeconomic Development and Investments Suren Karayan described Armenia's cooperation with Iran on Eurasian talks as admirable, adding that the joint committee of the two coutnries have begun good talks on preferrential tarriffs that will be pursued until reaching a final agreement.

He also said that Iran is ready to establish a joint company for advancing goals of the two countries and enhancing cooperation in Free Trade Zones in order to lay grounds for further trade exchanges.

An Armenian economic-political delegation, headed by the country's Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan arrived in Tehran on Monday.

The delegation was officially welcomed by Iran's Frist Vice President Eshaq Jahangiri, and has held talks with some senior Iranian officials, including Parliament (Majlis) Speaker Ali Larijani.
