Saudi Arabia has explicitly announced that it sides with the Zionist regime’s schemes and opposes the restoration of Palestinian rights, Sheikh Qassem said in a meeting of the International Union of Resistance Clerics on Thursday.
He further emphasized that the plots against Muslim nations are based on “three pillars”, namely the US, Israel and Takfiri terrorist groups, which are supported by Saudi Arabia.
All regional wars have been waged because of Israel, the top cleric said, adding that Riyadh is supporting terrorist groups, like Daesh, which are acting in line with the interests of the Tel Aviv regime.
Daesh (also known as ISIL), is a Takfiri group in Iraq and Syria believed to be supported by the West and some regional Arab countries.
The terrorist group claims as an independent state the territory of Iraq and Syria, with implied future claims intended over more of the Levant, including Lebanon, occupied Palestine, Jordan, Cyprus, and Southern Turkey.
Daesh militants made swift advances in much of northern and western Iraq over the summer 2014, after capturing large swaths of northern Syria.
Daesh has been committing heinous crimes against all ethnic and religious groups, including Shias, Sunnis, Kurds, Christians, Izadi Kurds and others in Iraq, Syria and several other countries.
