Rasul Ali replaces Talebani in PUK

According to the PUK protocol, if for any reason the secretary-general of the party cannot do his duties, his first deputy would replace him

Rasul Ali, born in 1952, has been a member of the PUK since its establishment in 1975.

Jalal Talebani, who also served as president of Iraq from 2005 to 2014, passed away on Tuesday in Berlin and was buried in Sulaymaniyah on Friday.
