Burundi ready to maintain economic cooperation with Iran

In the second leg of his trip, Aqa Jafari arrived in Bujumbura, capital of Brundi, and he held meeting with Brundi Minister of External Relations and International Cooperation Alain Aimé Nyamitwe.

During the meeting, Nyamitwe hailed creating joint political and economic committee.

He also pointed to the role of the committee in developing bilateral ties and cooperation between the two countries especially in the scientific, technological, sanitary and economic fields.

The Brundi FM invited Iranian firms to participate actively in the African country.

Both sides discussed bilateral cooperation in regional and international communities, developments in Persian Gulf and the Middle East.

Meanwhile, Aqa Jafari presented a report of the latest developments in Syria, Iraq, Persian Gulf and also Iraqi Kurdistan Region.

The Iranian diplomat also signed a Memorandum of Understanding on creating a political and economic committee by the two countries.
