Iran Esteghlal FC picks Winfried Schäfer as head coach

The contract with German coach will be effective until the seventeenth season and it will be extended if both sides remain satisfied.

Winfried Schäfer will receive about 300,000 dollars for six months.

He was the head coach of Cameroon from 2001-2003.

He has also coached Al-Ahli Saudi FC, Al Ain FC, FC Baku, Thailand National Team and Jamaica National Team.
