Iran President marks beginning of new school year

He congratulated the students and teachers on the occasion stressing that the first day in school is the first day of moving towards the future.

School year begins in Iran on the first day of Autumn based on the Iranian calendar year which falls on the first day of the Iranian month of Mehr (September 23, 2017).

'The First day of Mehr means to begin a move towards new stairs,' President Rouhani said at a ceremony held in the Shahid Moddaress Girls School in west of the Iranian capital.
