DTS changes not to affect flight, train timetables

According to statements issued by Iran Air and Railways of the Islamic Republic of Iran, the ticket times do not change; all the planes and trains depart for their destinations according to the time printed on the tickets.

Majlis (the Iranian Parliament) passed a bill in 2007 mandating the official time to be changed twice a year.

According to the bill, the country’s official time will be changed once at the beginning of the Iranian calendar year (beginning March 21 or March 20) and the other time at the start of the second half of the Iranian year coinciding with autumn in the country.
