Iranian President leaves New York for Tehran

President Rouhani wrapped up his visit to New York Wednesday evening boarding the plane at New York's John F. Kennedy International Airport to head for Tehran.

President Rouhani arrived in New York on Sunday, September 17.

During his four-day stay in New York, the Iranian President met Iran's expatriates in the United States as well as American political, cultural and Muslim elites.

President Rouhani also held talks with the heads of the US foreign policy think thanks and scholars.

He also interviewed with the American Television channels, including CNN and NBC News and had a meeting as well with UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres and hold separate meetings with a number of heads of states from other participating countries.

At the end of his visits and before starting his 14-hour-trip to Tehran, the Iranian President attended a press conference.
