Taking thoughtless stances to create more gaps among regional countries: Spokesman

Bahram Qasemi made the remarks Wednesday in reaction to the final statement of the 146th Arab League Foreign Ministers meeting in Cairo on Iranian islands Abu Musa and the Greater and Lesser Tunbs.

He seriously condemned taking such stances which is caused by political purposes and lack of understanding historical realities.

Iranian spokesman also rejected Kuwait representative baseless accusations against Iran, saying repeating such outdated allegations aiming at distracting public attention from realities.

'The released statement is the clear indication of interference in internal affairs of other countries,' Qasemi added.

He reiterated that Islamic Republic of Iran's principled policy towards Persian Gulf Littoral States is to have good neighborly relations, mutual respect, non-interference in the internal affairs of other countries and paying attention to historical and legal realities.
