General Hatami: Iran determined to establish security, stability in region

General Hatami made the remarks in Majlis open session on Thursday while he was defending his plans as one of the cabinet picks taken by President Hassan Rouhani.

He added that Iran will give a crushing response to the Daesh (ISIS) terrorists behind martyrdom of Mohsen Hojajji in Syria

Proposed defense minister reiterated that Iran will upgrade its ballistic and cruise missile power, renovate and reconstruct its air and naval deterrence.

He added that Defense Ministry will cooperate with Foreign Ministry to establish security and stability in the region and world.

Hatami has also outlined his main plans as follows:

1. Intelligent management of defense relations in line with creating active deterrence strategy

2. Reinforcing the role of Defense Ministry to implement Armed Forces civil plans
