Science minister to be introduced Sunday

President Hassan Rouhani unveiled all cabinet picks, except science minister, to Majlis (parliament) on Tuesday after he was sworn in on August 5 in a high-profile ceremony in Majlis.

Majlis has one week for vetting and examining the proposed ministers' credentials to give them vote of confirmation.

President will show up in Majlis to defend the proposed ministers, Nemati said, noting that the commissions and fractions have already started the vetting process.

Rouhani replaced nearly half of the cabinet in a bid to keep up his drive for economic lift-up and interaction with the outside world.
