Tourism industry in Iran “with its historical record, old and rich civilization and natural attractions” can play an important role in the Economy of Resistance in the country, Akbar Qoli said while speaking to IRNA.
Qoli referred to Islamophobia and Iranophobia broadcast by the Western media as two problems which affect the religious, economic and political interactions.
On Tehran-Rome ties, the cultural official pointed to the joint performance of Ravenna Festival with Tehran Symphony Orchestra, which was held on July 6 and 8 in Iran and Italy respectively, as an example for cultural interaction between the two nations.
He further said the Italian media commented on the Iran-Italy joint performance and described it as the one delivered Iran’s message to Europe through the language of music.
He went on to say that effective steps have been taken towards increasing the level of cultural cooperation between Iran and Italy.
As he said, the two rounds of cultural talks between the two countries as well as the Islamic-Christian dialogue in Vatican are among the mentioned steps towards bilateral cooperation.
The cultural attaché went on to say that a joint photo exhibition was also held in Italy last year which was admired by the visitors.
According to the cultural experts, culture and art are considered as the common language between the nations because they can deeply affect the people’ minds.
