Iranian runner champion of Tripoli half marathon

The Eighth International Half Marathon was held at Rashid Karami International Fair Complex by the Lebanese Ministry of Sports and Youth under the motto “With your strength we run for the security forces and the army”.

The event was attended by over 23,000 runners from 25 countries from five continents, who ran a distance of 21.1 kilometers. The event was held under categories of juniors, senior and veterans in two sections of men's and women's competitions.

Heydar Alavi, born in 2000, ranked first in junior category of the event. He also took the same place in Beirut Marathon last year.
