Iran volleyball team snatches 1st int'l medal in World Grand Champs

Iran had previously attended the World Grand Champions Cup for three times and after hitting France, Iranian team snatched its first international medal at the 7th round of the event.

During the first set, Iran overpowered France 38-36.

After winning the second match, Iran advanced to the third set, but it was overpowered by France.

Despite the fact that Iran was defeated by France in the fourth set, Iranian players hit France 15-11 in the fifth set.

The 2017 FIVB Volleyball Men's World Grand Champions Cup is the 7th staging of the FIVB Volleyball World Grand Champions Cup, a quadrennial international men's volleyball tournament organized by the Fédération Internationale de Volleyball (FIVB). The tournament is being held in Nagoya and Osaka, Japan on September 12-17, 2017. A sum of six national teams participated in the sport event.
