Iran taekwondoka bags silver at Turkish tournament

Zahmatkeshan in the weight category of – 68 kg defeated his Norwegian rival in the first match, Head of Borujerd sports and youths office Amanollah Mostaed told the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) on Tuesday.

During the 16th round, he hit Turkish fighter 4-3 and also Germany 19-8, he said.

In quarterfinals stage, Zahmatkeshan overpowered Kazakhstan 32-12 and during the semi-final match, he defeated Greece 3-0 and advanced to final match, Mostaed said.

The event is underway with the attendance of 2,400 athletes in Kyourugi and Poomsae fields in Turkey.
