Spokesman: Iran closely monitors US congress

Addressing the second seminar themed 'Nuclear cooperation, Advancements and Prospects', he said, 'We will examine all aspects of nuclear-related activities such as nuclear safety, safeguard agreement, medical, sustainable isotope and nuclear fusion.

Referring to the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), he said all speakers in the seminar underlined preserving the JCPOA and sent direct or indirect signals to the new US administration advising it to revise its policies, Kamalvandi said.

The US measures will isolate the country, he said, adding that the IAEA verified Iran's peaceful nuclear activities nine times and Iran's commitment will be enforced by the time others will continue the path.

AEOI closely monitors the US congress and the organization based on its responsibilities has made required predictions to this end and in case we require a flashback, it should leave its drastic impacts, he said.

'We hope they got the message that our situation in the region is very good and it is very unlikely that the US one-side policies will bear fruits as the world is now multilateral and the US cannot impose its will on others,' Kamalvandi said.

In today's meeting, representatives from European Union, China and Russia were present and it had a very good message on continuation of cooperation within the JCPOA and we hope the other side to avoid adopting illogical approach, he said.

Iran has made significant progress in medical and agriculture fields and is to continue cooperation in those sectors with others, Kamalvandi said.

'We hope to make use of others experiences and broadening cooperation and updating ourselves in security', Kamalvandi added.

Europe has a good record of cooperation and we should seize the opportunity to make use of their experiences, he said.
