Senior cleric proposes Iran's interaction with Egypt

In a meeting with the new chief of Iran’s Interests Section in Egypt, he added that unfortunately, the level of Iran-Egypt ties is at its lowest and this is not in the interest of the Islamic world.

“Our scholars and Ulamas should be in regular contact with Egyptian centers,” he said, stressing that all closed doors should be opened and obstacles removed.

The great religious authority hoped that the two countries will reopen their embassies soon.
