Iran MP lauds EU role in implementation of JCPOA

Increase of consultations between Iran and the European countries in the post-JCPOA era can help elevation of the level of relations between Iran and those countries very much, Rapporteur of Iranian parliament’s National Security and Foreign Policy Commission Seyed Hossein Naqavi Hosseini said in an exclusive interview with Iran IRNA on Tuesday.

The lawmaker referred to the fact that three members of the G5+1 countries are European states, and said that the agreements inked between Iran and the European countries are fruitful if they are executed.

Naqavi Hosseini criticized the French oil company Total for following the US policies regarding its agreement with Iran, and said that 'If the Europeans like French Total (company) wait for the US decision, it will not be beneficial for the Iranian nation.

If they enter the negotiations independently and increase the level of relations, it can help to promote of Iran ties with the European countries, the official noted.
