Georgia calls for development of all-out ties with Iran

'Development of ties with Iran is one of the top priorities,' Irakli Kobakhidze said in a meeting with Iranian Ambassador to Georgia Javad Ghavam Shahidi.

He thanked Iran for supporting Georgia and invited Iranian Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani to pay visit to the country.

The Iranian envoy, for his part, referred to 122 percent increase in Iranian tourists' visit to Georgia and called for broadening of financial and banking cooperation between the two countries.

'The two countries' capacity for trade cooperation is much more than the current volume,' he noted.
