Envoy: Switzerland to remain committed to JCPOA

In the meeting, Leitner pointed to clear stances of Swiss government on Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) and said that his country will remain committed to JCPOA.

He called for expansion of mutual cooperation between the two parliaments.

Leitner added that cooperation in the fields of culture and tourism are also among issues mutually interested for cooperation.

Karampour pointed to long background of cooperation between the two countries and said that this background would be an appropriate ground for development and expansion of bilateral ties.

The Iranian MP said that increase in parliamentary cooperation in different fields of energy, culture and tourism are among important fields of cooperation and in this concern he called for eliminating existing obstacles and acceleration in mutual cooperation.

Karampour appreciated constructive approach of Switzerland government and parliament on JCPOA and said that this deal is not an ordinary deal between two countries and that Iran is committed to its obligations in this concern.

He added that Iran strongly supports establishment of peace, stability and fight against injustice in countries of the region, such as Syria, Iraq, Yemen and Myanmar and is flag-bearer in fight against terrorism in the world.
