Belarusian president condoles with Iran over deadly quake

In a message to President Hassan Rouhani on Monday, the Belarusian president said that news on the victims of the earthquake tormented hearts of the Belarusian nation and it expresses solidarity with the Islamic Republic.

Belarus is mourning for those killed in the quake and wishes quick recovery for the injured, he said.

A 7.3-magnitude earthquake shook the western province of Kermanshah and the regions bordering Iraq on Sunday night.

Based on the latest statistics, at least 430 people have been reported killed and over 7,156 injured in Iran.

According to Seismological Center affiliated to Geophysics Institute of University of Tehran, the quake occurred at 21:48 hour local time (18:18 GMT).

The tremor occurred at a depth of 11 km and its epicenter was registered at 34.86 degrees latitude and 45.81 degrees longitude.
