Talking to reporters on the sidelines of ‘Damavand 2018 Symposium’, he added that unfortunately Austrian flights to Isfahan and Shiraz were suspended until the upcoming winter, as they were not economical.
Resuming flights depends on the decision of the airliner’s officials, he said.
As to Tehran-Vienna ties, he hailed Iranian President Hassan Rouhani’s recent visit to Austria, and said that benefiting from the JCPOA on condition of compliance with the commitments was one of the achievements of the visit.
During the trip, Iranian and Austrian governments stressed the need for promoting relations and implementing the project ‘Damavand 2018 Symposium’ was one of the plausible results of the trip.
‘Damavand 2018 Symposium’ with a focus on winter sports was held in Niavaran cultural complex late Friday as part of the programs to mark the 175th anniversary of first Austrian climbing Damavand.
Some 50 Austrian mountain climbers and herbalists are currently in Iran to climb Damavand.
